ITINERARY

Day 1Kharkhorum ancient capital of Mongolia

Kharkhorin was built in 1235 by Ogodei Khaan , who was successor of Chingis Khaan. The foundations of Kharkhorin’s buildings are all underground and Erdene-Zuu Monastery was built near the ruins of ancient capital in 1585. We will visit the Erdenezuu monastery which contains valuable items that represents the Buddhist culture of Mongolia. overnight in a ger camp

Day2-3Orkhon waterfall

We will ride a horse and visit Uurt gorge, Orkhon river, and the Red waterfall in Orkhon valley.The red waterfall is situated in historically significant Orkhon valley, whose river flows an incredible 1120 km to the north before it joins the Selenge river. Also called Ulaantsutgalan waterfall was formed by unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes about 20000 years ago. Overnight in a ger nearby the waterfall.

Day 4HOT SPRING

The sulphur springs of Tsenkher emerge from the ground at 86C. The hot spring is especially good for skin allergy.We will relax in Hot spa for the whole day. It is a good treatment after a long horse-riding trip. Overnight in a ger camp.

Day 5SEMI GOBI

Amazing nature of Semi-Gobi. There are 2 different zones of Nature in Semi-Gobi: mountains and sand dunes . This is a Gobi-typed desert and a picturesque landscape. Mountains, forests, steppe and sand dunes can be all found in one location in here. Do camel-riding. Overnight in a ger camp.

Day 6DRIVING BACK TO UB

After breakfast driing back to the Ulaanbaatar. On the way we have relax and have lunch. (B+L)

Day 1Terelj National Park

After breakfast driving to Terelj. It is a deservedly popular destination. At 1600 meters in altitude, the area is cool and the alpine scenery is magnificent, and there are great opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, horse riding, rafting, swimming (in icy water), and, for hard-core extreme sports fanatics. Most visited is the turtle rock and the dinosaur park.

Day 2Baga Gazariin Chuluu –Rock Formations

Today we are driving to baga gazriin chuluu is a 15 km long and 10 km wide stone massif, is located Middle Gobi. Over 20 kinds of medical herbs and many species of animals such as wild sheep, ibex and marmot exist here, if you have chance you might the wild animals. This is a narrow canyon with asp, birch, white whicker and elm tree, as well the ruin of a stone temple and the site of 2 yurts where monks lived and meditated since the seventieth century.

Day 3Tsagaan Suvraga

Today’s destination is White Stupa is located in MIddle Gobi. The name Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) is given by local people to the impressive and legendary cliff which is eroded by natural phenomen on. Having 10 million years history, the cliff indicates different times by its colored layers. Tsagaan Suvarga is interesting to see the sheer slope, facing east, which from a distance seems to be the ruins of the ancient city. Enjoy hiking around colorful Stupa, feeling like meditation in there.

Day 4Yol Valley

Today's destination is Yolyn Am, or 'Eagle Valley'. Take a trip to Yol Am and Dungene valley - a wonderfully picturesque place with ice in summer, and surrounded by sheer rocky walls, forming incredible canyons. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. Visit Gobi museum.

Day 5Khongor Sand Dune

After breakfast, you will be driven to Khongor sand dunes. These are Mongolia's largest sand dunes, reaching height of 300 meters in some areas. You will be riding on camel to explore the Khongor sand dunes.

Day 6Khongor Sand Dune

Today, you will experience sand dune with camel riding. The two-humped Bactrian camels are very comfortable to ride as they walk slowly and gently, and you will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. Our camel man will lead you safely through the sand dunes. Plus, you will have an opportunity to visit a camel herdsman's family to explore their way of life, their culture and traditions.

Day 7Bayanzag-Flaming Cliffs

Today we will drive to Bayanzag, (known as a Flaming Cliffs where the first nest of dinosaur eggs found in 1922) a site famous for the remains of dinosaurs which lived here 60 million years ago. You can walk around where dinosaurs once roamed and see saxaul trees and other classic desert vegetation. Overnight in guesthouse prepared by nomadic family.

Day 8Ongi Monastery

After breakfast, we will drive to Ongi Temple ruins which had about thousand lamas. It is a ruin of big monastery Bari Yonzon Hamba on the bank of a river. On the way, we will enjoy the vast steppe of the country.

Day 9Orkhon waterfall

Today’s destination the Orkhon Waterfall water flows for remarkable 1120 km to the North and lies in the historically significant Orkhon Valley, UNESCO World Heritage site. The waterfall formed by combination volcanic eruption and earthquakes some 20000 years ago cascades down from a height 27 meters.

Day10Tsenkher Hot Spring

After breakfast, continue your trip to tsenkher hot spring. Day11Great White Lake

It is an astonishingly beautiful lake with relatively pure fresh water. Torrents of lava issuing from the Khorgo volcano blocked the north and south Terkh rivers, so forming the dammed lake of Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake at an altitude of 2060 meters above sea level. The lake supports Pike and other fish. Rare birds are found here. After exploring the environment, you can prepare yourself for next day’s horse trip.

Day12Horse trip to Khorgo Volcano

After breakfast at 10:00 am, start your horse trip to volcano with well trained local guide and your tour guide. Before riding your guide will give you clear instruction about horse riding. KHORGO is an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. Khorgo is rich in beautiful scenery of mountains, cliffs, rapid streams, rivers, lakes, extinct volcanoes, green forests and pastures, where the long-haired yaks and horses pasture.

Day13Erdenezuu monastery

To After breakfast we are driving the symbolic ruins of the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas, built in 1586. Then visit Karakorum museum and see the Great Mongol state period, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient state period halls.

Day14Khustai NP-Wild horse

After breakfast drive to the Khustai National Park. There you would be able to see Prjevalskii horses (wild horses). Also you will visit little natural museum and hall of guests for short video about National Park in multi language. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. And back to UB.

Destination: Chinggis khaan Statue | Terelj National Park

ITINERARY

Day 1Chinggis khan Statue

After you picked up from your accommodation, we will drive to Chingges khan statue.Chinggis Khaan statue complex is a 40meter tall, Chinggis Khaan on horseback, on the bank of the Tuul river at Tsonjin Boldog 54 kilometer east of the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar. Where according to legend of that he found golden whip. The statue is symbolically pointed east towards his birthplace. It is on top of the Statue Complex, a visitor center, itself 10 meter tall with 36 columns representing the 36 Khaans from Chinggis to Ligden Khaan. It was built in 2006. We will provide lunch and then drive ti Terelj National Park. Overnight in a ger. (L+D)

Day 2Terelj NP and horse riding

After having breakfast, horse riding to Aryabal meditation and short hiking. The Park’s most spectacular features are its huge granite bloks and cliffs as well as meadows rich in wild flowers. Terelj offers fascinating rock formations against a background of pine covered mountains. The average elevation is about 1600m. with peaks reaching 2900m. Back to UB. (B+L)
